Lotera (Spanish word meaning "lottery") is a traditional game of chance, similar to bingo, and is played on a deck of cards instead of numbered ping pong balls.

It's known as El Gordo de La Lotera (Or The Fat Lottery) and happens every 22nd of December in Spain. This tradition has been taking place continuously since 1812 and it's the second oldest lottery in the world.

The actual phrase Bingo  was coined after the game was first introduced in New York and a woman tongue tied with the excitement of winning yelled out B-B-B-Bingo!.
