Magda Apanowicz ( ap-ə-NOH-vitch; Polish: [apaˈnɔvit͡ʂ]; born November 8, 1985) is a Canadian actress. She is known for her roles 9️⃣ as Andy Jensen in the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand in the Syfy science fiction drama series 9️⃣ Caprica, and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) in the science fiction series Continuum.

Personal life [ edit ]

Apanowicz is of Polish 9️⃣ descent and spent a year in Poland in the ninth grade.[1] She lived there with her uncle and attended a 9️⃣ school in Jelenia Góra.[2] She later studied at Vancouver Film School.

Career [ edit ]

She became interested in acting at the 9️⃣ age of ten, after her brother introduced her to Pulp Fiction. She began her career in 2002 with brief appearances 9️⃣ in the TV series Jeremiah and John Doe.[3] From 2007 to 2009, she played the role of Andy Jensen on 9️⃣ Kyle XY. In 2008 she starred in the Hallmark Channel original movie Every Second Counts.[4]
